  • Something I’ve noticed with Flogging Molly is that some of their songs may fall into the problem of sounding similar to each other but a strength of What’s Left Of The Flag is that it starts out in a melodic fashion which is a nice start to distinguish it from the band’s other songs
  • After this continues on for a while the rest of the track is full of energy and has a great sound, this would be a song that I’d definitely recommend
  • I wouldn't say that this track contains quite as much energy as some of the other tracks on this record, such as the title track, but I like how it at least features a melodic introduction which adds something to set it apart from the rest of the record and it's still a solid song overall

What’s Left Of The Flag is a song by Flogging Molly which appears on their record Drunken Lullabies. The vocals waste no time coming into this track as they start right away simultaneously with a violin part as well as an acoustic guitar strumming a simple pattern in the background as well.

A mandolin part also comes in primarily in the right channel which sounds great with the violin and creates a nice sound.

      The track

does take a shift around thirty seconds into the track as it picks up in dynamics and gathers a more aggressive sound and a slightly faster tempo as well.

By about a minute in the track starts to sound more like that traditional energetic sound from Flogging Molly rather than the melodic sound from the intro of this song.

The vocal melody as usual is very catchy and the tone and energy works nicely with the ...

      • song as well which pretty much goes without saying when it comes to Flogging Molly.
