  • The writing is entertaining, and while they want girls to be themselves and not give in to peer pressure, I think they manage to get this message across without being preachy

      • to peer pressure, I think they manage to get this message across without being preachy. They cover topics relating to school itself, like keeping up with homework and dealing with the larger world of middle school,
        like friends, boys and family problems. The book also has a section on body issues. While it’s not a replacement for a book that focuses on puberty, it does reassure girls that these changes are all very normal.
