  • I wasn't sure whether or not it would quite live up to the promised results, but in my experience it has
  • I used a mop for a number of years to clean a linoleum floor, which worked well, but over time it seemed like the mop did a less effective job of cleaning, so I decided to try the Swiffer products
  • In terms of cost, the Swiffer pads plus solution are not a terrible expenditure, considering that one pad and one bottle of solution can last for some time, with regular cleaning
  • Although I still use Murphy's Oil Soap for hardwood cleaning, I recommend the Swiffer Wet Jet for linoleum or tile cleaning

The Swiffer Wet Jet is a product that I purchased as a replacement for my standard mop, with the hope that it would work as well and I was pleasantly surprised through my weekly use of the Wet Jet. I should also say that I saw the standard commercials on television and thought it sounded like a good idea in practice: basically a disposable element to a mop, by way of the Swiffer pad and the cleaning solution.

I wasn’t sure whether or not it would quite live up to the promised results, but in my experience it has.

I used a mop for a number of years to clean a linoleum floor, which worked well, but over time it seemed like the mop did a less effective job of cleaning, so I decided to try the Swiffer products. After trying the Swiffer Sweeper (which was useful, but not as thorough as Wet Jet) I decided to try the Wet Jet and it has been very helpful. I use approximately one Wet Jet pad for each room that needs to be cleaned (i.e. kitchen, dining area, entrance area) and it has proven to be very effective so far (I have been using them consistently for about a year) and it is helpful even when the weather tends to make entrance areas messy, like in the winter.

I have had a great deal of success with the Wet Jet, but I would also suggest that you experiment with the amount of Wet Jet cleaner and the number of pads that it takes to clean each area in your home. For me, I tend to use one pad per room, but I concentrate on the most heavily trafficked areas, such as the entrance. As a side note, I would say that it is helpful to
be able to change Swiffer pads frequently in case you find that a particular area needs particular attention after poor weather or heavy traffic, such as a party. In terms of cost, the Swiffer pads plus solution are not a terrible expenditure, considering that one pad and one bottle of solution can last for some time, with regular cleaning. Although I still use Murphy’s Oil Soap for hardwood cleaning, I recommend the Swiffer Wet Jet for linoleum or tile cleaning.
