I am a confessed multitasker and there are two activities that I would love to do at the same time – shop and eat. Here in the Philippines, combining these two activities has largely been limited to café and bookstores. Only Via Mare in Landmark has caught on with this concept, but personally I do not enjoy dining there because of the endless stream of people that pass by. There is a marked lack of privacy. So I was really excited to hear that a new place pushing this concept opened

right in the heart of Makati, the Philippines’ business district.

Trilogy Boutique & Canteen is such place which opened about a year ago. On the shopping side, it carries some of the much-sought-but-hard-to-find brands here in the Philippines – Dim Mak, Junk Food, Christys Crown Series Hats, Obey, WeSC, Incase Bags, Adidas Originals by Originals – represents only part of their list. You can order and then browse around while waiting for the food to arrive. What is exceptional about this place is that its attendants are really knowledgeable about the ...

      • goods sold. Unlike in department stores where salesladies would often tell you that there are no more stocks, the attendants here are super helpful. They aim to please the customers, a refreshing change in this country.

There is much to be said about the food that is served in this place. People come here as much for the goods in the boutique as the food that it serves. Quite famous is the Chocnut ice cream. Chocnut is a popular local chocolate, creamy and so-delicious, which Trilogy has made into an ice cream.

In my opinion, this is even more delicious than Selecta’s version. I like that they serve food that are popular but still they put their own brand in it. I personally liked their Beer Battered Fish, I though it was a weird combination at first, but I was mistaken. There are a lot more offerings in the menu which are worth going back over and over. It is not too expensive and yet it’s an experience worth having.

So if you want to shop and eat in peace, Trilogy is the place to go.
