  • The chorus of the song features a horn section along with an interesting bass line and a distorted part as well
  • Although Revolution itself is a good song and I really do like the very aggressive rock song The Beatles achieved on that track, Revolution 1 is surprisingly a pretty enjoyable track and I’d really recommend giving it a chance

Revolution 1 is a song by The Beatles which appears on their self-titled record, otherwise known as The White Album. Revolution 1 is basically a slower and more melodic version of Revolution which is a purely rock driven track.

The song starts off with a much slower tempo along with an acoustic guitar, although a distorted lead is still in the intro

      of this track.

Lennon takes lead vocals on the track but sounds far more melodic on this song compared to the aggressive vocals on Revolution.

The chorus of the song features a horn section along with an interesting bass line and a distorted part as well.

To be honest, I’m not exactly sure why The Beatles put this version of the song out but it works surprisingly well.

Although Revolution itself is a good song and I really do like the very aggressive rock song The Beatles achieved on that track, Revolution 1 is surprisingly a pretty enjoyable track and I’d really recommend giving it a chance.

Even if you’ve heard Revolution and an acoustic version fo the song doesn’t exactly appeal to you,

although this song wouldn’t even be considered purely acoustic, I’d still recommend at least giving this song a chance as it’s got a good rhythm and the performance throughout is great.

Lennon plays around with some studio dubs on his voice which sounds nice as well and although I wouldn’t really expect the song to be that good, as it’s quite different

from the attitude of the original Revolution, the song works quite well.

I really enjoy Revolution 1 because it somehow goes in the complete opposite direction of Revolution, which was really just this very aggressive and driving hard rock song, and goes in the melodic and primarily acoustic direction yet still ends up with an excellent final product, certainly a song to look into.
