  • It was a little heavy and bulky, so it was hardly anything convenient enough to carry in a pocket, or even throw into a first aid kit, so they should really consider making these things in smaller travel sizes
  • It's an ugly brown looking concoction, and when you pop open the lid, you actually feel like you're about to lather mud on your skin, but any woman who has ever visited a spa knows that this is actually the best thing for you
  • It didn't cost much and it's all natural, containing lavender, so despite the awful look of it, it really smells quite nice and refreshing

My best friend used to bring her kids over for a visit all the time when they were little, and because she was slightly over-protective in their younger years, she would bring along an entire diaper bag full of medicinal and health products in case anything ever befell her children in her absence, and I’d never have to guess what to do when the situation arose. So, as a joke now, every time I visit her, I bring along some sort of children’s medical product that somehow has to do with first aid. I still have products in my medicine cabinet from ten years ago when she used to visit with them, and little by little I’ve been tossing them out and saying good bye to fond memories. She used to bring over Herbs for Kids products all the time,

and so I revisited their product line for my last trip to visit her and bought the Super Kids Salve. Her kids are teenagers now, but they are just as prone to accidents and sickness as they were when they were younger, and I figured, even if this was a joke, it was still a useful product that she’d get a kick out of.

It was very affordable and it came in a great jar with a screw top lid. • mud on your skin, but any woman who has ever visited a spa knows that this is actually the best thing for you! It didn’t cost much and it’s all natural, containing lavender, so despite the awful look of it, it really smells quite nice and refreshing. Not sure her boys really appreciated the feminine-smelling gesture, but this was my gag gift and I was seeing it through!

We actually all did end up needing it too when we went on a camping trip and, even though she had a first aid kit set aside, I demanded we add this salve to it, and it’s a good thing we did too because it seemed to work for a whole variety of problems. Her oldest son lathered some on a cut on his leg after walking through a prickly bush (and

I told him to bring a pair of jeans, but do those kids listen to their godmother? of course not), and the youngest one got some mosquito bites to contend with so we applied a bit of the salve to that and let it stay on it and it really sucked out the infection from the bite and he wasn’t scratching anymore within ten minutes at the most. Their mother ended up using some for a burn she was getting on her nose, because of all the things she dragged along in that kit of hers, a sunblock wasn’t among them. So this is a great all-purpose product that works well for the entire family, is all natural and totally safe for kids and adults alike. She laughed at me when I gave it to her, but you better believe she put it to use!
