The new album by kiss Sonic Boom is an excellent album that shows that kiss is still rocking today and even still making good music with fairly recent drummer Eric Singer and Guitarist Tommy Thayer. The song Modern Day Delilah is the first track off the album and it really starts the album off good.

It has that awesome guitar intro with some audible bass fills by Gene

Simmons followed by Paul Stanleys heavy vocals.

I think it’s kind of funny because he cant sing this song live as nearly as good in the studio.

It’s ok live but you can really tell he uses vocal processors.

I still really like his voice and even the band provides good back up vocals for the part that yells Modern Day Delilah.

Tommy Thayer to me is a ...

      • way better singer and guitarist then Ace.

I even like his guitar tone for the band but you cant definetely tell he got some of his licks from Ace because Ace was a better musician but Tommy has a better approach to guitar.

One thing I do have to admit about this song is it has not alot of structure to it except for a bridge really but

thats the style of kiss and this is a very in your face track to start off Sonic Boom.

Also the bad sounding vocals are when Paul Stanley screams 1,2,3 before the solo I never liked the sound of him at this point of the song.

Other then this the song is an awesome single.

Check out the song on youtube along with the music video the band recently created.
