  • Slick’s voice on the track has a powerful tone throughout the track, it gradually gets better and better in my opinion, and the vocal melody itself works well with the music too
  • White Rabbit has honestly become an iconic track and I’d certainly recommend it, it’s a very short track but there’s just some excellent music in this short amount of time

White Rabbit is a song by Jefferson Airplane which appears on their record Surrealistic Pillow. The song is one of the more well known songs by the band and certainly with good reason.

Sometimes tracks can be extremely well known but they just really aren’t that good in reality, but I don’t believe that White Rabbit falls into this category to be honest.

The track starts off with a light guitar riff which gradually builds up in volume and intertwines with a drum rhythm and a lead guitar part as well.

Grace Slick comes in with the vocals in an iconic vocal performance singing lyrics which are based loosely about Alice In Wonderland.

Slick’s voice on the track has a powerful tone throughout the track, it ...

      • gradually gets better and better in my opinion, and the vocal melody itself works well with the music too.

At around a minute and a half in the dynamics pick up and the song becomes slightly more alive, although it already had a good energy but now it’s even more so.

This is around the time where Slick begins to hit her best

parts vocally and she demonstrates an excellent amount of power behind her voice, she really is what leads the song in my opinion just because of great a vocal performance she gives on this song.

White Rabbit has honestly become an iconic track and I’d certainly recommend it, it’s a very short track but there’s just some excellent music in this short amount of time.
