  • Like many tracks on this album, the lyrics to the song are great and they’re really the focal point of the song in my opinion
  • Dylan gives a nice vocal performance but I think the lyrics themselves are certainly the key point of the track
  • Then again, with a poor vocal delivery the lyrics certainly aren’t as good, but Dylan gives a good performance here as he seems pretty into the track and has a decent tone as well, or a very good tone if you want to compare it to his vocal tone throughout his middle records, which I’ve unfortunately been hearing a lot of lately

When The Ship Comes In is a song by Bob Dylan which appears on his album The Times, They Are A-Changin’. The track opens up with an acoustic guitar strumming pattern before Dylan comes in with his vocal performance with his classic tone and excellent lyrics. • a very good tone if you want to compare it to his vocal tone throughout his middle records, which I’ve unfortunately been hearing a lot of lately. The instrumentation is very stripped down with just the acoustic guitar and Dylan’s voice for the majority of the song so the track certainly has a very genuine folk rock sound yet Dylan is still able
to write better music with just an acoustic guitar and his voice than many musicians are able to do with a huge instrumentation and a high-tech studio, this is the genius of Bob Dylan, he always managed to get an incredible sound out of very little. A good vocal performance by Dylan and just a very nice folk rock track which goes by quickly and flows well.
