The internet has become a vital need in almost any household! Nearly everyone needs it for various purposes; news, e-mail, chat, business, research, social network, and even porn. You name it and the internet has got it! There is just one tiny bit of a problem, how do you know which internet service provider best fits your needs?

I also had the same problem last year. I had to do a quick website for my school project and internet connection is a must! That’s when Globe Broadband came

across my life. I initially subscribed for a 1MB wired connection, knowing that it is more stable and much faster compared to the wireless connection of the same speed.

The difference between wired and wireless is tremendous! Wireless is really slow because it travels on space. It doesn’t have a specific path to follow. If anything blocks your antennae, such as walls, then the speed could decrease. Meanwhile, a wired connection is much stable because the data travels through the wire directly to your modem. If the ...

      • speed decreases or there is no internet connection, then some rat must have gnawed on your wires. Rumors are circulating that Globe sucks, but that’s just because they don’t know the difference between these two types of connections. This is the reason why I chose the wired connection.

Globe Broadband is a pretty good internet service provider. I have been their costumer for over 10 months now and I rarely get problems with my connection. Whenever I get a dilemma, I can easily contact their customer support for

assistance. Sometimes, the mere instructions they give do not suffice and that’s when they would send in someone over for repairs. I personally get pissed off sometimes especially when I am in dire need for some internet goodness, but like I said, problems rarely occur.

Generally, I’m happy with my current internet service provider. Globe has a helpful customer support staff and above all the internet speed is pretty decent. I would give Globe a rating of eight; it has both quality and speed at an affordable price!

    quick note by anonymous :

I’ve been a customer of Globe 20 Mbps fiber over 3 yrs.At the beginning, It was really good but gradually it degraded and last few months It’s unacceptable, the speed is unpredictable, sometime fast but most of the time 1Mbps, and sometime “no connection “. My guess is that Globe most of the IPS company here use the ” One size fit all” policy. At the beginning I was in the almost empty room, I can enjoy all the space but now the room is over crowded and they still stuff more user in without increase the Bandwidth. Change to other ISP will not help because they are all the same, I’ve tried all of them, It will cost you more money for installation and login hassle. I’m thinking about moving up to more expensive “Room” (100Mbps), hope it is still not crowded yet.Speed Reliability is my priority. When will these business think about “Ethic”???
    Galega says :

Internet speed going down at certain times happen with all operators around the world. You can see low downloading speed during evening time because of lots of people accessing internet through laptop and mobile. However, it happens round the clock, then that is something really problematic.
