One review you will have no problem finding is an Xbox 360 review. Just about every website on the Internet has one, including this one. One part of the 360 in particular doesnt really have many reviews on it rather than a quick scratch the surface review. Having both an original Xbox and an Xbox 360 I will do my best to describe the differences and weather or not the changes were for the best or for the worst.

Depending on which package you buy, the core, or the premium you will either have a wired controller or a wireless one. The one I have is wireless and that is what I will be reviewing. The first thing you will notice is the lack of a core, defiantly two thumbs up.

      Still, youre going to

need power for the controller and it takes two AA batteries that are held in a little pouch on the backside of the controller. There is a long white button on the top of the pouch that you push to release it to allow you to put your batteries in, when the batteries have been inserted simply lock the pouch back in place and you are ready to play. I have heard that two AA batteries fully charged will give you about 30 hours of use.

The next change from the original console is that it has two more trigger buttons and now lacks the white and black buttons. The white and black buttons have been replaced by two new buttons called the right bumper and the left bumper. These bumper buttons sit right in ...

      • front of the trigger buttons, so now the controller has the same type of layout as a Playstation controller.

To make it even more like a Playstation controller the start and back buttons have been moved to the same location on the controller as the Playstation. I personally wouldnt have moved them, but its not really going for it or against it. You will get used to it along with the bumper buttons.

The bumper buttons are actually good replacements for the white and black buttons. The next to things are the menu button and the pushed forward design. The original Xbox controller was really bulky, but was still better than the Playstation controller.

Now, Microsoft has made the Xbox 360 controller pushed forward if you will. It now seems like a mix between the

original Xbox controller and a Playstation controller and boy does it feel great to just hold all day long, no more cramping. The final point to make is the Menu button.

Rather than having a useless logo in the middle of the controller as the original Xbox had Microsoft took advantage and made it into a button. When you are playing a game and you push this button if opens a summary window where you can chat with friends, play music, and return to your Xbox 360 dashboard without having to take the disc out of the tray. This button also allows you to hold it down and shut down the console without having to get up.

Everything else on the controller has remained pretty much the same, and excellent controller that can be used all day long without cramping your hands up.
