  • Thus far I enjoy the overall mood of the song because it has sort of a mystical and royal sounding tone in my opinion, if you’ve heard this song then you could understand what I mean by this
  • Because of this, after the song goes on for a bit of time, it begins to draw a little bit boring and I’m left sort of hoping it will pick up
  • On the one hand, I like the sort of mystical royal tone which I mentioned which can be heard throughout this track and Grace Slick does a nice job of leading in the spotlight of this track

Lather is a song by Jefferson Airplane which appears on their album Crown Of Creation. The song starts off with a nice acoustic guitar part coming through the left channel before Grace Slick comes in with the vocals for the first verse.

Thus far I enjoy the overall mood of the song because it has sort of a mystical and royal sounding tone in my opinion, if you’ve heard this song then you

could understand what I mean by this.

However, what I’m not a huge fan of regarding this track is that it genuinely strikes me as if it lacks any energy in it.

Because of this, after the song goes on for a bit of time, it begins to draw a little bit boring and I’m left sort of hoping it will pick up.

However, I’m sort of undecided on where I stand with ...

      • this song.

On the one hand, I like the sort of mystical royal tone which I mentioned which can be heard throughout this track and Grace Slick does a nice job of leading in the spotlight of this track.

However, at the same time the song lacks any real changes in it and it never really picks up during the track, despite arguably at the very end, so because of this and a

very melodic tone, the track can sound a bit boring in my opinion.

If you’re a listener who doesn’t mind a few minutes of one constant mood with not too much going on in the song, you may enjoy this track.

However, if this doesn’t sound all that appealing than Lather may not exactly be a track worth your time.

I’d say it’s an average song but Jefferson Airplane certainly has better ones to choose from.
