      I was taught how to make a upside down strawberry cake from a friend of mines and every since then I have been making them for the a family event or just when I want to eat something sweet. It is perfect for functions and the kids seem to really enjoy it too. Here is the recipe that I use to make the upside down strawberry cake.

      2 1/2 cup flour 1 1/2

      cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 3 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup milk 4 eggs

      You will also need: 2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberry, thawed 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello

      First you will need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. That way when your finish preparing the cake it can be ready and heated to go in the oven. Next you mix up all of the ...

      • ingredients together in a large bowl and mix together the strawberries and jello and another bowl. Then after that you pour in the cake mix inside a grease pan at least 9 by 13. After that you put the mix jello and strawberry on top of the cake mix and place in the oven for about 45-50 minutes. When finish you just set to the side to cool off than enjoy.


        turns out pretty good and after a while of getting use to cooking it, you can change up fruit and try out pineapples or something else you might think will go with it. This is a great dessert to have and you will really enjoy it. It comes out nice and soft and very sweet. You can taste how the strawberries are melted over the cake which gives it that sweet flavor. I love this cake and really recommend you try it out.
