Vacation in the city of Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) was exciting and fun! I highly recommend it as a travel destination. The train from the airport is quick and arrives downtown in 28 minutes. Many hotels in the city are only $50 per night and are beautiful and clean. There is a monorail line that can take you anywhere in the city. Taxis are cheap, about $5 to most places.

Petronas Towers is a must see. They are the world’s tallest towers, and has a view point and a bridge between the two. Take many pics from the top, it’s a great ride. You can

also take a glass elevator. The KLCC tower is also a nice place to visit and has a view port. For shopping, the top destination is Berjaya Times Square. It’s the world’s 5th largest Mall, with 11 floors and thousands of stores. The expensive shops are near the bottom, and the cheaper discounted shops start at about floors 5 and 6 and upward. There is also a 2 floor Borders which is the largest I have ever seen. Many shoe shops here too. Right next to that is Wang Tsui center, which is a great discount market. At Petaling street, in Chinatown is a ...

      • good outdoor market all along the street. Great deals can be found here. Shop away!

The food is great, and many restaurants line the streets. They also have a drink called Cham, which is coffee and tea mixed together, add with milk. It’s delicious. The weather is tropical, so be prepared for hot days and lots of sunshine. An hour away by bus there are beautiful beaches for swimming and fishing. About 5 hours by bus is the famous Penang beach area, but you don’t need to go that far. Kite flying is also popular here.

KL also has a giant casino called Genting Highlands.

It’s enormous and has shows and of course lots of gambling of every kind. It’s like a Vegas in Asia. There area a few temples to see, and some great ancient architecture. Also there is a nation museum at KLCC and a lot of activities to do. Para-sailing is popular here, and skyboard jumping. There is a line of free buses also, for tourists, and a train will take you to Singapore in 5 hours, if you’d like to add a day of that to your trip.

I do recommend KL as a great holiday destination. Loads of fun and sun. Shopping, swimming, and good food.
