  • Those of you that have played Call of Duty 2 will noticed similarities, well that is because these two games used the same engine, but Treyarch put in some higher resolution textures and tweaked the lighting effects a bit and make the engine look that much better

  • The multiplayer is one of the best and in-depth for a console game

Three! Thats right, Three! When you hit a two sequels in a game you either know, one, that the series is way over done, or two, you have something defiantly working for you. In the case of the Call of Duty series it would be number two. Its not surprising though considering a lot of the creators of Medal of Honor Allied Assault, which was one of the more popular World War 2 video games during its time, created Call of Duty.

So, here we are three years later we have the third Call of Duty game. Let me just say that this game is surprisingly good.

Why is it surprisingly good? Treyarch, the developers of Call of Duty

2: Big Red One is the developer of Call of Duty 3 and Big Red One was a bad game. I think Treyarch thought to themselves, Hey! Instead of making a terrible game nobody will buy, lets make a good game a number of people will buy! The first thing you will notice is the beautiful looking graphics.

Those of you that have played Call of Duty 2 will noticed similarities, well that is because these two games used the same engine, but Treyarch put in some higher resolution textures and tweaked the lighting effects a bit and make the engine look that much better. Are you a fan of Call of Duty 2? If you are then you will ...

      • enjoy Call of Duty 3.

These two games play almost exactly the same due to the same engine and genre. Things that impressed me in the game were the small features such as setting an explosive.

Now, when you set an explosive, you actually have to assemble the bomb rather than having it just appear in its spot in 1/5000th of a second. It takes a little bit of time to set a bomb now.

Its nothing huge or game changing to much, but it’s cool they went the extra mile to add such a feature. Now, time for the bad news, if you have played Call of Duty 2 there was an awesome feature that would allow you climb

        over any wall.

Now, for some odd reason they took that out, or rather, never put it in. To contradict that, the game made it a little bit more realistic in killing people.

Almost always one shot will take down and enemy no matter where they are hit, unless it is somewhere like the legs of course. Multiplayer! The multiplayer is one of the best and in-depth for a console game.

You can choose different character classes such as medic, assault, and support, to name just a few. It also contains vehicles, which hasn’t been done since the original Call of Duty’s expansion pack.

Call of Duty 3 is a game that promises to keep any World War 2 or First Person Shooter fan busy for a quite a while.
