  • Just as I wasn't impressed with those oatmeal flavors, this variety pack isn't rich enough in flavor for me to be able to find it appetizing and stomach it
  • The strawberries and cream is probably the best of the four, although that definitely isn't saying much
  • The bananas and cream flavor wasn't any more tolerable, with the plain oatmeal taste overpowering what little banana flavor I could make out and compared to eating a delicious, ripe banana, this oatmeal flavor positively paled in comparison

I’ve been attempting to find a flavor of oatmeal that I can stomach because I’d really like to be able to incorporate oatmeal into my daily eating habits as there’s a lot of good stuff in oatmeal that’s beneficial for the heart and body. The oatmeal that I’ve tried so far has been positively lousy in the area of flavor, like the Great Value Maple & Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal and the Quaker Cinnamon Swirl Instant Oatmeal. Just as I wasn’t impressed with those oatmeal flavors, this variety pack isn’t rich enough in flavor for me to be able to find it appetizing and stomach

it. In this variety pack comes four flavors for a dollar forty-nine. There’s peaches and cream, strawberries and cream, bananas and cream and blueberries and cream.

The strawberries and cream is probably the best of the four, although that definitely isn’t saying much. There’s a very mild strawberry flavoring that gives the oatmeal a bit of sweetness, but I can still taste more oatmeal than strawberry, and I needed it to be the other way around. The bananas and cream flavor wasn’t any more tolerable, with the plain oatmeal taste overpowering what little banana flavor I could make out and compared to eating a delicious, ripe ...

      • banana, this oatmeal flavor positively paled in comparison. The peaches and cream flavor was even duller and I have to wonder just how many peaches were used to flavor what really tastes like just plain oatmeal, which is a terrible tasting thing. The blueberries and cream had a nice blue tint to it but the blueberry flavor was so fleeting in taste that it was almost immediately replaced with unflavored oatmeal taste. This oatmeal is barely flavored and for me to be able to eat oatmeal, I need oatmeal that doesn’t taste like oatmeal. The soft and soggy texture of the oatmeal is unpleasant enough,
and without a very rich and prevalent flavor that I find delicious, it’s impossible for me to eat the stuff.

Thia variety pack gets a “1″ rating from me. It’s really bad and I returned the unused packets to Walmart and easily got my money back after I expressed my absolute disappointment in the very bland flavors found in the variety pack. I want to eat better, but I can’t, not when stuff like this tastes so poor. Regular oatmeal is not something I can eat because the taste is so unpalatable for me, and these four flavors failed big time to cover that unpleasant taste up.
