  • For some stupid reason, I thought it would be better to just quickly relieve the pain than to try to protect the lining of my stomach, so I would take the pills without eating first
  • I am not sure whether these work as well as Prilosec because that is the only one of those type of drugs that I've ever tried so if I continue to have this problem in the future, I will ask to be prescribed Prilosec again
  • Prilosec definitely came to my rescue at a time when I needed it most so I give it a rating of a 9 out of 10

My doctor prescribed me Prilosec after I get a terrible stomach ulcer from taking Ibuprofen on an empty stomach many times. I would take the Ibuprofen on an empty stomach because I’d be in pain (typically from menstrual cramps) and want fast relief but not have any food near me. For some stupid reason, I thought it would be better to just quickly relieve the pain than to try to protect the lining of my stomach, so I would take the pills without eating first. That relieved my pain but it was terrible for my stomach. This stupid choice destroyed the lining of my stomach so I was prescribed Prilosec to fix the ulcer. It is supposed to get rid of the bacteria that causes ulcers and also

decrease the amount of stomach acid affecting the ulcer. I am so glad that my doctor prescribed it for me because it worked wonders. It did not work instantly but it seems like no medication ever does. Gradually, however, I got relief. I was having terrible stomach pains from the ulcer. It felt like my esophagus and stomach were burning each time I ate a meal so a result, I would just stop eating completely. This just made me feel even worse than I had already been feeling. I had never felt more unhealthy or weak in my life. The Prilosec got me eating healthily again because it meant that I wouldn’t feel that burning sensation every time I ate. It stopped the harsh stomach acids from damaging ...

      • my throat and helped give me relief from the pain. It helps to decrease the production of stomach acid so that ulcers can heal because stomach acids can be really bad for ulcers.

I only took Prilosec for exactly two weeks and it worked wonders. I am so glad that it did not take ages to get rid of my ulcer and I was really happy with the results. Because it is a prescription drug, the price is going to vary depending on what type of insurance someone has. I do not remember it being very expensive for me to purchase which was a really good thing. There are a lot of other drugs out there that are similar to Prisolec. Prevacid is one of them and there

are also a bunch of generic versions of it too. I am not sure whether these work as well as Prilosec because that is the only one of those type of drugs that I’ve ever tried so if I continue to have this problem in the future, I will ask to be prescribed Prilosec again. There were no weird or painful side effects from taking the drug so no new problems cropped up.

This is mainly a drug for people who have acid reflux but it is also helpful for people who have ulcers. Prilosec definitely came to my rescue at a time when I needed it most so I give it a rating of a 9 out of 10. I do not know what I would have done without it.
