Included inside a Guitar Hero World Tour package, is the new Guitar Hero Guitar. This guitar is different from the previous Guitar Hero Guitars, as it comes with some extra features and it is also a different shape. These new features include a finger-slide bar. This is used in-game to play notes which don’t require strumming. It is supposed to make it easier to play solo’s, however if you (like myself) have been used to “finger tapping” during solo’s, you may infact find it harder to use this new panel.
The new panel is also situated at the bottom of the neck of the guitar. This means that you must move your button pressing arm several inches to find this new panel, which generally results in you missing it
or pushing the wrong key, causing you to lose your current note streak. Along with this small fault, the new strumming bar isn’t built as well as on the Guitar Hero 3 gitar. I find that for the first few songs each session, it squeaks and get’s stuck every so often,
which is really off-putting, when trying to concentrate on playing a complex song.
The new shape of the guitar however is great. I find that it looks more like a real guitar, however the colour of the guitar is a little bit too glossy to resemble a real guitar.
