  • Although I don't recommend placing these stickers on any part of the guitar that you will be touching often (such as the buttons) as once you wear through the image of the sticker, the sticky substance from underneath the sticker is left behind and I can tell you, it is incredibly difficult to get off

Included inside a Guitar Hero World Tour package, is the new Guitar Hero Guitar. This guitar is different from the previous Guitar Hero Guitars, as it comes with some extra features and it is also a different shape. These new features include a finger-slide bar.

This is used in-game to play notes which don’t require strumming. It is supposed to make it easier to play solo’s, however if you (like myself) have been used to “finger tapping” during solo’s, you may infact find it harder to use this new panel.

The new panel is also situated at the bottom of the neck of the guitar. This means that you must move your button pressing arm several inches to find this new panel, which generally results in you missing it

or pushing the wrong key, causing you to lose your current note streak.

Along with this small fault, the new strumming bar isn’t built as well as on the Guitar Hero 3 gitar. I find that for the first few songs each session, it squeaks and get’s stuck every so often, which is really off-putting, when trying to concentrate on playing a complex song.

The new shape of the guitar however is great. I find that it looks more like a real guitar, however the colour of the guitar is a little bit too glossy to resemble a real guitar.

The glossyness of the guitar makes it look more like a toy than a real instrument. The actual buttons on the guitar as well built, however I find that ...

      • they reduced the width of the buttons, which means that if you have come straight from using one of the previous guitar hero guitars, you will find yourself missing a lot of the buttons.

This happened to me a lot in the beginning and found it really frustrating, as I was good at guitar hero 3. The guitar comes with a large pack of stickers, which can be used to customize the guitar in any way you want.

Although I don’t recommend placing these stickers on any part of the guitar that you will be touching often (such as the buttons) as once you wear through the image of the sticker, the sticky substance from underneath the sticker is left behind and I can tell you, it is incredibly

difficult to get off. A final thing to note about the new guitar is that the strap which comes with it isn’t as of good quality as that of the strap from guitar hero 3.

There are large plastic pieces on this new strap, which can really begin to dig into your shoulder after a prolonged playing session. Even with all of these faults, the guitar is still extremely fun to use, especially at partys or if you have friends/family over.

I find that whenever I have relatives staying at my house, Guitar hero ALWAYS comes out of the closet and gets played with late into the evening. Once people begin to get into the swing of things, it becomes really enjoyable and I strongly recommend that you invest in this great party game.
