  • I don't know that I would actually call it depression, but it was definitely close to that
  • I've used many different kinds of herbal supplements over the years and some of them have worked quite well and some of them not so much, but I know they are all natural and healthy for the body, and I just couldn't see a reason not to try them
  • I bought the Herbal Plus Standardized Rhodiola because I'd tried a couple different kinds of Herbal Plus products that have done wonders for me over the years
  • It's more than a three month supply though, so when I consider all that, it didn't seem to be that pricey
  • You only take one a day, and there are no stipulations like taking it with food or a glass of water or anything like that, so it was easy to remember and convenient and I could take one in the morning and then forget about it for the rest of the day

Every once in a while I just plain feel down in the dumps and there’s not a whole lot I can do about it. I’ve tried eating better, drinking more water, getting outside more often, and sometimes that’s just not enough. I went through a period like this a few months ago and couldn’t seem to shake it. I don’t know that I would actually call it depression, but it was definitely close to that. I was particularly stressed out about a few things going on financially, and there were rumors my husband might lose his job, so I was definitely feeling a lot of pressure and spent a good portion of every day worrying about the bills and what we were going to do to get by should he lose his job. Needless worrying, of course, because it was never confirmed that he’d lose his job and he’s still employed now, but I’m a worry-wart, no doubt about it. I wanted to find a product

that would help alleviate some of the stress and anxiety I was experiencing, but without resorting to prescription medications which would pretty much strip me of all emotion all together. I didn’t want to stop feeling, I just wanted to stop feeling anxious!

I have a couple friends who are students of homeopathic medicine, and one of them recommended that I try Rhodiola to help get me out of my blues. I’ve used many different kinds of herbal supplements over the years and some of them have worked quite well and some of them not so much, but I know they are all natural and healthy for the body, and I just couldn’t see a reason not to try them. You only take one a day, and there are no stipulations like taking it with food or a glass of water or anything like that, so it was easy to remember and convenient and I could take one in the morning and then forget about it for the rest of the day. Basically, Rhodiola is considered and “adaptogen”, which means that it will help you adapt to stressful situations, and help lighten the emotional load of a troubling time. At least, that’s how I define it.

I took this product for about a month when I realized it just wasn’t working. I had a couple people tell me that you’d feel the difference the very same day, and it’s a great all-natural anti-depressant, but I honestly didn’t feel any difference. The first day I took it, there was no marked changes in my behavior or moods or stress level, but

I knew that sometimes herba remedies take a while before you see the benefits of them, because they need time to go to work on the body more than conventional medicine would. But after a month, I certainly expected some sort of difference and didn’t see any at all. I have to say this is one of the few disappointing Herbal Plus products that I’ve tried, and it didn’t do anything I needed it to do. After a couple months, my stress and anxiety levels naturally decreased because my situation had changed and finances secured themselves after a lot of work and a lot of worry, so I didn’t even bother continuing to take this product. I had high hopes that it would do something…. anything at all…. but I didn’t even experience any side-effects or anything, which I guess is good. I wont be purchasing this product again or recommending it to others because it simply didn’t do anything that I needed it to do. It’s a no-go for me. 2
