Oh the things I’ll go through to look good! About six months after I started working in retail for the first time ever, I started to notice that my shoes were really doing a number on my feet. I have wide feet near my toes, so it’s hard to find a pair of shoes that don’t scrunch of my toes painfully, and sometimes I just had to settle for something that provided arch support, but scrunched the toes. As a result, my big toe nails actually developed a fungus that became quite painful over the course of a couple months. I first noticed the discoloration of my nail, but then it actually

became painful to the touch. There were days when I couldn’t even fathom putting a pair of shoes on my feet because it would hurt my toe nails so badly, and I’d even cry out if my dog just happened to stumble over my feet! I finally made an appointment with a foot doctor in the area, to find out that I had a rather pesky fungus that couldn’t be treated by the typical oils and such that you’d find at beauty supply stores. The doctor put me on a medication on which I actually had to have my liver monitored, because the medication can cause damage to the liver if the
dosage isn’t monitored! I didn’t know if my toe nails were even worth the risk and had actually told the doctor to just take the nails off! But, he assured me that as long as it was monitored, it would be fine, and even suggested the Milk Thistle supplement to help keep my liver as healthy as possible, and it was safe and all natural and I could take it with the prescription he had given me.

I’m not even entirely sure what Milk Thistle does to treat liver problems or promote a healthy liver, but I have to say that this product worked as far as I’m aware. I had to ...

go in to the doctor every two weeks to make sure that my liver was functioning the way it should be, and the foot specialist actually said that the milk thistle was working wonders and the medication I was taking wasn’t having any ill-effect on my liver in the least! AND, better yet, that stupid nail fungus was finally starting to clear up!

I’m not sure why or when I’d ever need to take a milk thistle supplement again, but Herbal Plus is definitely the brand I’d use. It was about $15 for 100 capsules, and you just needed to take one capsule three times a day, so it lasted me the

whole month that I needed to be on my prescription. Of course, I’d always recommend talking to your doctor before taking any herbal supplement, but there’s nothing dangerous in this product as far as my research on milk thistle has told me. I would trust it in the future if I ever needed to improve the health of my liver again. And, for that price, a healthy liver is definitely worth it. It took away all my fear associated with this medication I had to take, and I didn’t lose my nails in the process, which I was willing to do to prevent damage to my liver! Good product, and does what it claims to do.
