  • The character f Madeline was the only female in the production and actually was probably the best actor as well
  • I have to admit, although I discredited the movie after only a few minutes, I did watch it to the end because it was just interesting how they went about making it
  • I will recommend it to my gay male friends, they’ll get a kick out of it

I rented this movie as a fan of the horror genre and also an interest in Edgar Allen Poe. It turned out that I did not read the description as carefully as perhaps I should have, but what took place was entertaining none the less.

This movie was a retelling of the Fall of the House of Usher, a Poe short story classic.

In this version though, a gay male couple are the main characters.

      Having seen some cheaply done

soft core gay porn before in cable shows, I recognized the genre within ten minutes of the film and I had to burst out laughing when the seemingly serious plot buildup was interrupted by both male characters engaging in half nude groping to generic club music for about ten minutes or so.

The character f Madeline was the only female in the production and actually was probably the best actor as well.

She only had one “love” scene, trying to seduce the ...

      • obviously gay visiting male unsuccessfully.

The makeup and dress of Usher was something straight out of an Anne Rice vampire movie and if I didn’t know better, I’d say they deliberately used her characterization as a model.

This man, although not a vampire in the movie, held similar dark and mysterious charm.

I have to admit, although I discredited the movie after only a few minutes, I did watch it to the end because it was just interesting how they went

        about making it.

At times it was blatantly hysterical– like the scene where the former men of Usher came forth as spirits in sexy matching skivvies to grope the sleeping visitor to more club music while supposedly being “scary.

” This is really a hoot– a great movie to watch if you are gay or drunk, or especially gay and drunk.

Just don’t expect it to do Poe any justice.

I will recommend it to my gay male friends, they’ll get a kick out of it.
