Have Gun - Will Travel: Death of a Gunfighter is an odd story. Paladin rides into a New Mexico town intending to take a job for John Sebrey. Sebrey is involved in a deadly feud with Juan Carlos Morrita, who had killed several men. However, Paladin is so disgusted by what he sees upon arrival, that he turns the job down.

      Before Paladin

can leave the next morning, he witnesses Morrita gunning down three more men, including Sebrey. Paladin didn’t really care until Morrita fired a second shot into the fallen Sebrey. That’s when Paladin became part of the game, following Morrita for some three weeks before he finds him again. However, by then, a truce had been called to which Morrita has agreed.

      The story ...

      • turns again when Morrita gives himself up to Paladin and hires him to make sure he gets back to his hometown so that he could see his family again before he dies. Don’t get used to that because it turns again. That’s the beauty of the story — change, change, and more change.

I did love the scene where Paladin is dancing with Maria,

the girl Morrita wants to marry. Maria is played by Suzanne Pleshette, whose role is small, but she does a nice job with it.

I’m really not crazy about this show, but it was a little different with all the various turns, and Pleschette was good. There is a lot of violence in it, with straight on murders, so it’s definitely not for young kids.
