Stargate: Infinity: Stones is a story that centers on Stacey, Major Gus Bonner’s niece. She’s a feisty, independent scientist. Actually, she’s probably a variation of Samantha Carter on Stargate SG-1, only with pink hair.

While on an alien world, she is given some special stones to wear as a necklace. She

laughs off their import at first, but then she does an obstacle course with greater speed and endurance than she would have otherwise.

As she continues to wear the stones, she becomes obsessed with her strength, much to the chagrin of the rest of the team. Then she becomes nearly anal about proving ...

      • she doesn’t need the stones to be strong.

The problem with this episode is that it is so dang loud and action oriented. Stacey is grunting her way through two-thirds of the episode and going absolutely nuts.

Finally, Bonner convinces her that she has to take the first step to stopping the madness by

        taking off the stones.

I just don’t like loud shows like this one. It was too overt.

“Real strength comes from inside.” That’s the message the show ends on, and I was real happy when we got there. So for me, I like the message, but it took way too long to get there.
