“If you keep a fear hidden, it will take control of you.” That’s the mantra of Stargate: Infinity: Phobia which is one of the animated episodes which aired on Saturday mornings for a while. It focused on an SG team that was stranded off-world since the GDO codes had been changed. This is all part

of the Stargate protocol, and that’s one of the few things this show has in common with the live action hit television series.

This is a story about a spider planet, and that’s not my favorite topic. I can’t say that I fear spiders, but watching them crawl all over the place isn’t my idea of fun.

      • In this show, Major Bonner’s niece, Stacey, had a run-in with a big spider, and now they want to put her on trial. Stacey insists the big spider was going to attack her. No one knows if that was the case or not.

“When you’re afraid, you stop and think before you react.” That’s good advice.

I suppose that being a children’s cartoon, messaging was very important. I’ve noticed that there are a few of these great lines in each show, hoping to impress the kiddies who are watching.

The spiders aren’t villains here, so that’s the lesson — be careful of your fears. Maybe they helped a viewer or two out there in TV land.
