      Shrimp with yoghurt? I thought the idea was a bit of a stretch but it was good. I have been exploring middle eastern cuisine and I am loving it because of its low calorie ingredients. Mainly because they loathe pork. When I visited Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, Casablanca, this is how I get the understanding

      of Arabian cuisine.

      Ingredients:

      2 cups yoghurt 1/2 tsp ground cumin 1/2 tsp ground mustard seed 1/2 tsp ground cardamom 1/8 tsp ginger powder 1/8 chili powder, or to taste salt to taste 12 pcs large prawns, shelled, deveined 1 cup yoghurt for dip 1/4 cup chopped cucumber lemon wedges

      Procedure:

      Combine the first seven ingredients and pour ...


      • over prepared prawns. Allow to marinate for about 10-15 minutes. Combine yoghurt for dip and cucumber. Chill. Preheat the grill pan or outdoor grill. Thread three prawns through each bamboo skewer. Grill shrimp about two minutes each side or until they change color completely. Serve with yoghurt dip and lemon wedges.

It is like dipping shrimps in milk or sour cream. It feels sour sometimes because yoghurt normally tastes like this. I have to use mayonnaise sometimes. But I was told that the ideal taste is really sour.
