This is the fourth book in John Vaurhos’ ‘Killer Poker’ series, and while this one picks up where the others left off, it also contains enough information from the previous books to allow an average player to benefit from it without having read the previous books. John

is a natural teacher and his sense of humor shines throughout this book.

In at least a couple of spots he makes the comment “Internet players are nice,” after one leaves the table expelling expletives in one of his examples.

Presenting it here, does not ...

      • due the quote justice, but in the context of the book, I laughed out loud.

This is not a poker book for beginners.

It does not teach the basics of how to play poker (none of John’s books really do).

        John teaches us to become

students of the game, to study other players and our selves.

He helps us to avoid common mistakes and to keep our wits about us, when the unavoidable bad beats hit.

I would highly recommend this book and others by John Vaurhos for anyone looking to improve his/her poker game.
