Joe Fresh Style Nail Polish in Butter
  • And when the shades where available online, I was very impressed with their seasonal line up
  • It went on very streaky and required 3 coats to get it to be completely opaque, which is how I like my polish to look
  • I'm not too sure, but I think the polish also dries pretty fast as during my application, my polish applicator thing became pretty sticky and it was a little hard to work with
  • I wouldn't buy it again as I don't think I would finish this within this season, or actually even next year as I don't apply the same polish that frequently

      Hello,

I was very excited when Joe Fresh decided to make a nail polish line. I already love their clothes, I try to go to my closest Superstore atleast twice a month to check out the new stuff or just buy my regular dose of their very pretty, fresh and affordable clothes. So being a recent nail polish lover convert (does that phrase make as much sense as it does in my brain?) I was over my head in excitement when the news was out. And when the shades where available online, I was

very impressed with their seasonal line up. So I went down to my local Superstore, but it seems they had sold out within the few hours that they were out on the floor and so I had to wait for a visit to another Superstore to get my hands on them, and even there only two of each of the seasonal shades were left. I nabbed most of them as they were so darn cheap ($4 each/3 for $10).

Anyway, onto a more specific review about one of the shades called ‘Butter’. It

is pretty self explanatory, the polish is a butter yellow colour. I wish the application was nice as the shade. It went on very streaky and required 3 coats to get it to be completely opaque, which is how I like my polish to look. I’m not too sure, but I think the polish also dries pretty fast as during my application, my polish applicator thing became pretty sticky and it was a little hard to work with. Also, even after 3 coats, there would be spaces where you could still see my ...

nail and so I would have to go over those regions specificaly and so my result was very uneven application. Or maybe I just apply nail polish badly, I don’t know. It was all okay after an application of OPI top coat though, everything looked smooth. So I guess in the end it was all worth it. I was also a bit surprized at the size of the polish bottle, only 6 mL. I wish it was slightly bigger, but I guess that’s why it was cheap, and its seasonal so there is
enough polish in one bottle to satisfy you for one season, even if you apply it for the entire season.

Overall, I really like this colour, it looks fresh and I haven’t seen this shade in any other line up of other brands’ polishes for this season. I wouldn’t buy it again as I don’t think I would finish this within this season, or actually even next year as I don’t apply the same polish that frequently. I wish the application quality wasn’t so painful, but other than that, I quite like it. Hope this review has helped.
