Have Gun - Will Travel: Pancho didn’t impress me, especially with the way it began.

Paladin (Richard Boone) finds a young Mexican buried in the ground. As he starts to dig him out, he is stopped by the man who put the boy there. Here’s what is

odd. Paladin uses the shuffle to hit the man, disarming him so that he, Paladin, stays in control. Then like an idiot, which Paladin usually isn’t, he stands just a couple of feet away from the man as he digs the younger Mexican out. Naturally, the man tosses dirt in Paladin’s face.

It’s just the most ridiculous segment,, not to mention that then the younger Mexican stole his horse. He had no gratitude.

As I said, it is the stupidest opening. It’s not just what happens, but how slow Paladin is to react.

This is a third season episode; I expect better by now.

Rafael Campos plays the young boy, Pancho Villa Doroteo, while Edward Colmans appears as the father of a young woman who he wants Paladin to escort away from the area. Naturally, the girl and the boy

are interested in each other, and it’s up to Paladin to set the course of true love exact so they don’t destroy each other’s lives.

All in all, it’s okay, but this show has some real problems along with the silliness. However, the kicker at the end is pretty darn good.
