National Bookstore has a branch in Quezon City. Unlike other branches of this store, I like this one the most because it has four floors. Most branches only have one floor where you can find books and school supplies.

But the branch located in Gateway is actually a tall building where one will find thousands of books categorized in various topics or subjects which will be found in various floors. The first floor, however, is home to school supplies and art materials at low prices.

The range of school supplies is so large that there is almost nothing you will not find here. The school supplies

they carry go beyond the notebooks, pens and pencils which students need - there are specialty papers, transparent papers, art papers, onion papers and lots of other types of papers which art students, office workers and other types of students will need and not likely to buy anywhere else.

The brands of notebooks and other types of products here are well-known or local, and National Bookstore also has its own line of school supplies called Best Buy, which are typically lower than their foreign counterparts. The second floor is where you can find hundreds of books on various types of fiction, local and foreign.

      Well-known books ...

      • like Twilight are there, as well as other lesser-known novels. There are also various adaptations on various classic literature, like Dante’s Inferno, Illiad, Odyssey and many others.

There are also well-known classics in graphic novel format, comic books, romance novels, suspense, and other types of novels from all literary genres. The atmosphere here is usually quiet because some people are reading books which are not protected by plastic, and unfortunately there are no chairs where they can sit on.

The third floor is home to biographies, books on hobbies and crafts, marketing and management, and there are less people here. Fortunately, there are five chairs and

        two long tables here.

The fourth floor is where you will find text books from different subjects as well as cheap novels from lesser-known authors. So you see, this bookstore is so tall and is home to thousands of books which are both international best-sellers and not so famous, but because there are hundreds of books here you will almost likely find what you’re looking for.

I happened to find a book by Andre Agassi called Open, which I thought was out of stock, as well as Barack Obama’s Dreams From My Father. All in all, the books here vary and are cheap, so you should visit this store.
