In this remake of the 60s film by the same name, ‘Sweet November’ features a heart warming story of acceptance, tenderness, and love on many different levels of being.

Set in San Francisco, California, Nelson Moss is a workaholic. So busy in fact, that he barely remembers his girlfriend exists and he has to plan important functions into his schedule, such as renewing his driver’s license. Also at the DMV to renew her license is the vibrant and witty Sarah Deaver.

When Nelson tries to talk Sarah into giving him an answer for the written part of the exam, they overseer revokes

Sarah’s test leaving her without a license for at least 30 days. She confronts Nelson after the test, realizing his plate as an egotistical busybody that believes he can buy his way through life. Sarah basically does what she can to force herself into Nelson’s life.

Nelson is later fired from his job and takes Sarah up on a most unusual offer: to live with her for thirty days so she can “help” him. Little does Nelson know that Sarah’s unconventional lifestyle, energy, and unique but relaxed embrace on life will change his life forever.

‘Sweet November’ is definitely one of the sweetest,

      • touching flicks that I have ever seen. Best classified as a chick flick, it once again brings together the amazing chemistry of Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron. The movie can be enjoyed even by the 13 and over crowd. It features almost no swearing, but does feature two limited sexual situations.

The vibrant embrace of life that Sarah displays and her fascinating life philosophies are amazing and inspirational, although some may find her lifestyle as immoral. I find Theron’s portrayal of this character to be beautiful. This movie really helped me to see that no matter how different people are that the

need for love and affection can sometimes out power everything - even when there’s a million dollars on the line. It also showed me that it’s very possible to live a full and happy lifestyle, simply.

I have this movie as part of my home video collection and have watched it over and over again! It gives me a sense of ease and brings relief to think that, even though this movie is a work of fiction, that someone out there has shown that the idea of kindness and the human condition hasn’t become extinct. I recommend this sweet treat to everyone!
