  • First of all I love the small 4 x 6 size, and really everything about the packaging
  • I love the magnetic closure, I like that the stickers and labels are on the left, the cards in the center and the envelopes tucked in at a pocket on the right
  • I’m glad I know about this company and happy to learn from their website that the designs are by resident artists and that the cards are eco- friendly

      I received this stationery set as a gift. I’ve never been big into stationery but it does come in useful from time to time.

      First of all I love the small 4 x 6 size, and really everything about the packaging. Everything about the way it’s designed makes a lot of sense to me. I love the magnetic closure, I like that the stickers and labels are on the left, the cards in the center and the envelopes tucked in at a pocket on the right. This all makes it easy to pick up and use, although I’ve never felt the urge to pop it into my purse for on the fly correspondence, I could if I wanted. I love that all folded up it’s like a little hard back book, and does a really good


      job of holding and protecting everything that’s inside.

      I would say that the background of the design is yellower than it looks on the website. Yellow does not happen to be my favorite color. I’m not sure I’m a big fan of the gold leaf embellishments either. It’s a bit brassy to my taste and I feel it takes away from the hand painted look of the artist’s design. All in all its pretty, but not totally my style. The envelopes are somewhat plain except for the envelope flap and kind of thin. But, at least I can’t see the design of the card through them. I really hate envelopes that are too transparent, because it messes up the look for me and can make it hard for people to see the writing.

      • about this stationery set except for one thing; the cards. They’re sort of bound together like a book. You’re supposed to tear each one away as needed, which works fine. But the fold where they’re torn away winds up having a ragged edge. It doesn’t look good at all from the side, and even the left edge on the front of the card becomes somewhat damaged. It gives the impression that the card I’m about to give someone, which is brand new, has been opened and closed many times and is falling apart. So every card I have given somebody is marred in exactly the same way, no matter how careful I try to be. It’s too bad. Just about everything else about this set is so well designed.

        I only give these out when I

        have no other stationery or to people who I don’t think will notice or care. I wouldn’t feel comfortable writing a nice note to say, my mom on one of these. I’m glad I know about this company and happy to learn from their website that the designs are by resident artists and that the cards are eco- friendly. That’s comforting as there’s a lot of pressure to go paperless these days. And I would say that owning this set has inspired me to write more notes. I just wish they’d made the effort to protect the most important part of the stationery set which is not the envelopes, the stickers or the package they come in, but the cards themselves.
