recommended ages: 7 and up Kirsten Larson starts school in America with excitement and nervousness. The new teacher is new and very strict and says Kirsten needs to learn to speak English better because she needs to recite a poem

in front of the class. One day Kirsten meets an indian girl named Singing Bird and together they start a secret friendship. Kirsten visits Singing Bird’s village and is welcomeed by her people. But when Singing Bird asks Kirsten if she ...

      • would like to run away to her village so she doesnt have to go to school anymore Kirsten knows she ahs face her fears and attend school and learn to spaek English better. My Review; Even though Kirsten is
scared and feels insecure at school she is determined to learn a new language and speak it correctly shows that if you try hard enough you can succeed, and though some people are different you don’t have to be afraid of them.
