Columbo: The Complete Sixth and Seventh Season DVD set is comprised of three DVDs, just like earlier seasons. Consumers need to remember that Columbo was part of the Mystery Movie lineup and tended to air just once a month during a season. As time passed, even that lessened. During the time of these two ’seasons’, there were just 3 or 4

      shows being produced each year.

This set is actually eight episodes that aired between October 1976 and May 1978. It includes William Shatner’s appearance in Fade In to Murder and my favorite of this set, Try and Catch Me with Ruth Gordon and Charles Frank. I’m not really a Gordon fan, but she was magic in this outing.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any bonus materials ...

      • on this set. Universal, which has released all of the seasons to this point, really didn’t do much as to providing extras on any of the sets, except that they did include bonus episodes of the Mrs. Columbo TV series on a couple of sets. Other than that, that’s it, and there’s nothing extra at all in this compilation.

        As for the layout,

it’s the same as the last couple of seasons. Each DVD has their own slim pack case, and the three slim packs slip into a box that does have nice artwork of Peter Falk as Columbo on it. The DVDs have two to three episodes each and are, thankfully, one sided.

It’s Columbo, and Columbo fans will want to own this two-season set.
