  • I thought I would take a look at an auto parts store called Partsource, because my husband had suggested that I look there, and the location was conveniently located on a main road in the northwest part of Edmonton
  • I can say that this is the first time I have ever been impressed with a store or business even though I didn’t end up purchasing what I needed there
  • This was far better than I had expected, and it made this somewhat stressful experience for me far less so

      Shopping for automobile parts can be extremely intimidating for anyone who is not mechanically inclined, but it is especially so for women. Last week, I had to look for an air filter for my Jeep Cherokee, and other than the name and year of my vehicle, I had no idea what type I needed. I thought I would take a look at an auto parts store called Partsource, because my husband had suggested that I look there, and the location was conveniently located on a main road in the northwest part of Edmonton. I expected to end up frustrated and being unable to find the right air filter, and having to let my husband find it on another day. I can say

      that this is the first time I have ever been impressed with a store or business even though I didn’t end up purchasing what I needed there. The customer service at this store was so exceptional that I am writing a very positive review, even though I had to go to another store for my air filter.

      I walked into Partsource with a great deal of trepidation. However, I was soon put at ease. This very large store is set up like some other parts stores I have been inside, with a lot of merchandise on shelves in aisles, and a parts counter in clear view. I didn’t waste anytime searching for the air filter I needed, so I just marched up to ...


      • the counter. The store employee who ended up helping me was excellent, and I was very relieved when he put me at ease right away. He looked up in the computer which air filter was the right one for my vehicle make, model and year, and soon found out that they didn’t have this one in stock. Now, at this point, the difference between good customer service and exceptional customer service became very apparent. I would have expected him to be apologetic, perhaps offer to order one in for me or tell me when I could expect them in stock, thank me and send me on my way. Instead, he apologized, and then told me that I likely could find the air
        filter at one of their competitors’ stores. Again, I greatly appreciated this, and then he proceeded to go above and beyond doing his job, and looked up the address of this other auto parts store for me, wrote it down on a card, and then gave me directions. This was far better than I had expected, and it made this somewhat stressful experience for me far less so. I ended up finding the air filter I needed at the other store, but I would have just given up and gone home if it hadn’t been for the helpfulness of this Partsource employee.

        I am very impressed and grateful for the customer service I received at Partsource, and I would recommend it anyone looking for auto parts.
