The Baby Bamboo, along with its counterpart Big Bamboo, are said to be owned by a foreigner, and are thus usually a hot spot to hit for foreigners living in Shanghai. Perhaps it is the appeal of

having a little taste of home at their fingertips; however, it is rather disappointing. Outside of the pub/sports bar atmosphere there is really little reason to indulge oneself in what the Baby Bamboo has to offer.

      • The food is disappointing (it doesnt match its description, is neither aesthetically appealing, nor pleasing to the taste buds. ) And that isnt even mentioning that it is over priced! Frankly speaking, there are a great number
of fantastic restaurants on Hong Mei Walking Street, and one would do better to turn there for a taste of something different. Baby Bamboo seems a waste of time and money and a recipe for a great deal of disappointment.
