Well, last night was the season finale of Destination Truth; Spirits of Easter Island. And, upon reflecting on it a bit, I have to say it was actually a bit of a disappointment for me.

Seeing Easter Island and all those giant heads was pretty cool.

But, the investigation really didn’t turn up a whole

heck of a lot; other than an unexplained light in the sky (which could have been just about anything) and some sounds that might have been voices or they might have been an animal.

The second investigation for the believed-to-be-extinct Moa was a little better in my opinion because they were searching for something real.

      ...

      • But, even then, the investigation seemed to lack any real effort.

For example, they found tracks in the mud that looked pretty fresh.

But, nobody even once suggested trying to follow the tracks to see where they would lead.

And, the episode just cuts off with very little feed back from the investigation.

        I would

think Josh Gates would have given us a bit more, especially since the tracks were unrecognizable.

I can think of at least three other episodes that aired this season that would have been better season finales than this one.

Season finales should end with a bang.

This one ended with a thud.

        Or, should that be dud.
