When I saw this in the supermarket for the first time at a cheap price, I was delighted to know that the Jamaican brand National was finally making a cheaper pack of chocolate chip cookies, that felt like it contained even more in one bag. Therefore, being a chocolate lover, I picked it up thinking I had gotten

myself another great deal, bought it and went home to eat it. However, when I got home and opened it, I got a cruel surprise.

First of all, let me state that when National named this product “Chocolate Bits” they certainly knew why they named it that. This was because when I opened the bag and was looking ...

      • for cookies containing real “chocolate chips” in them, instead, what I found was a bunch of cookies with some tiny dark spots on them. My first reaction as a chocoholic was disappointment, and then I looked on the back of the ingredients, I realised that those black spots I was seeing were in truth very very very tiny
        chocolate chips.

When I tasted the cookies themselves, I didn’t feel much better. They were thin and crispy, but they were darker than the average chocolate chip cookies and they tasted slightly burnt.

In the end I felt very cheated and vowed never to buy this product again to sate my chocolate craving. I am now only a Keebler woman.
