  • And if you enjoyed Wii Sports, then you will love Wii Sports resort and it has twice as many sports as it's prequal and better controls thanks to the Wii Motion Plus
  • The graphics in this game are decent but not amazing
  • Another great part of this game is that you get to use your mii for each sport and every time you get a good score, you gain experience on your way to becoming a pro
  • This is fun, but I think it's even more fun just exploring the island as it has great scenery and challenges such as squezing through a tight tunnel without crashing

Wii Sports Resort is the sequal to the original Wii Sports which was bundled with every Wii. And if you enjoyed Wii Sports, then you will love Wii Sports resort and it has twice as many sports as it’s prequal and better controls thanks to the Wii Motion Plus. With the Wii Motion Plus, Wii Sports Resort can accurately show where you are putting the remote. A good example of this is in the Sword Fighting game where your actions with the wii remote will be perfectly matched on the screen. Most of the 12 minigames also have 2 or 3 modes such as in basketball where there is free throw and team play. The graphics in this game are decent but not amazing. Another great part of this game is that you get to use your mii for each sport and every time you get a good score, you gain experience on your way to becoming a pro. Here is a review of each of the 12 sports:

      Table

Tennis: There are two modes. VS (against cpu or multiplayer) and serve return (see how many times you can return serves in a row) The wii motion plus really helps this game as you can put realistic curves on the ball. 9/10

Wakeboarding: There is just one mode. The objective is to do tricks and land with your board flat. You tilt the wii remote to balence your board. Simple but addictive. 8/10

Archery: There is just one mode. There are sharp controls. It might look easy, but keeping into consideration how far gravity will pull your arrow down when the target is far away and the wind level keeps it a challenge. 7/10

Basketball: there are two modes. Pick-up game (where you will play a 3-on-3 team game) and 3-point Contest (try to get as many shots in as possible in the time limit) 3-on-3 game is simple but fun and three throw timing is challenging. 8/10

Golf: there is just one mode. Sharp controls with great detail as you have many ...

      • golf clubs to choose from. Stages make for a challenging game. 6/10

Bowling: there are three modes. Spin control (practice your spins) 100-pin game and standard game. slightly improved from the popular original. 6/10

Power Cruising: There is solo and multiplayer. Jet on your watercraft as you try to get through the gates in time. Great multiplayer racing! 7/10

Canoeing: Solo or multiplayer. realistic way to control but hard to mauneuver and not very fun. 2/10

Cycling:There is a solo mode and a multiplayer mode. Good variety of stages but having to conserve your energy is kind of annoying. 4/10

Air Sports: There is an airplane mode and a skydiving mode. The skydiving mode is simple but fun as you have to group up with other skydivers and take a photo to get points. In the airplane mode you are supposed to go around the island and collect points that show the important parts of the island. This is fun, but I think it’s even more fun just exploring the island as it has

great scenery and challenges such as squezing through a tight tunnel without crashing. 9/10

Frisbee: There are two modes, frisbee golf and frsibee dog. Frisbee golf is just like normal gold but with a frisbee and frisbee dog is a mode where you have to throw it inside a highlighted area where a dog will catch it. Both feel just like a real frisbee! 8/10

Swordplay: There are three modes. One is duel where you try to knock your opponent off the platform you both are standing on. One is speed slice where you have to slice an object as quickly as possible in the direction given. One is showdown where you have to fight many enemy fighters at a time. The duel makes for great multiplayer and the blocking is supurb. 9/10

So all in all, this is a great game. But it really opens up when played using multiplayer. So to take advantage of this game’s features, do yourself a favour and buy two wii motion plus’s and you will highly enjoy it.
