  • The Trial, the penultimate track of Pink Floyd’s concept record The Wall, is what I believe an excellent way to wrap up the story, or just about wrap up, and certainly a brilliant track in itself
  • For those of you who either have not heard The Wall or know the story of it, it basically is about a character named Pink who sets up a psychological wall between himself and the rest of the world in order to avoid the pains of living in society, The Trial is the song which basically wraps up that entire story
  • The Wall also starts out in a certain mood and ends up in a completely different mood so the track goes through some interesting changes in between

character named Pink who sets up a psychological wall between himself and the rest of the world in order to avoid the pains of living in society, The Trial is the song which basically wraps up that entire story. What I personally really enjoy about The Wall is that it does an excellent job of connecting all of ...

      • the earlier aspects of the album, for example Pink’s teacher, ex-wife, and mother are all brought up again in this track which recaps the album and also finishes it. What’s more impressive is Roger Waters’ vocal performance on this track: he does each of these characters and also the judge in a delivery that I can only define
as extremely versatile and just excellent work, Waters does an excellent job on this track. The Wall also starts out in a certain mood and ends up in a completely different mood so the track goes through some interesting changes in between. Overall, I believe this is an excellent end to the entire record and a very nice performance by Roger Waters.
