  • The track is an extremely accessible song and I can’t really understand how someone could listen to this track and not really enjoy it at all, The Doors never really struck me as a band who you really had to enjoy rock music in order to enjoy their music, they were certainly one of those bands who I felt could really branch out to just people in general, not just fans of rock music
  • Take It As It Comes follows a simple structure, although it does change around after an organ lead towards the end of the song, but I don’t mind the lack of complexity on this track at all

Take It As It Comes, a track from The Doors’ self-titled debut record, is certainly one of the more well-known tracks on this album, although I could say that about a lot of the songs on this record, and I can easily see why. The track is an extremely accessible song and I can’t really understand how someone could

listen to this track and not really enjoy it at all, The Doors never really struck me as a band who you really had to enjoy rock music in order to enjoy their music, they were certainly one of those bands who I felt could really branch out to just people in general, not just fans of rock music.

      • Take It As It Comes follows a simple structure, although it does change around after an organ lead towards the end of the song, but I don’t mind the lack of complexity on this track at all. Morrison leads the song with his vocals, particularly in the chorus, and the instrumentation behind him also does a great job, all
of the organ parts on this track, as with just about all Doors’ songs, is excellent. Although this isn’t the most complicated song by any means, it’s able to capture this essence of The Doors and a sound which they pretty much have throughout their debut record, with the exception of The End, which is quite a complicated piece of music.
