  • But the versions of the songs of The Beatles in this movie are probably the best
  • For some reason, I couldn’t figure out who was singing because it definitely didn’t sound like Jim Sturgess
  • Though I only figured it out by the time the movie was over, I think that it was genius that the names of the characters in the movie are the same names in some of the songs of The Beatles – Jude, Lucy, and Prudence

If you’re fan of The Beatles, then this movie is for you. It features Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess.

We all know that The Beatles are great, that’s why their songs have been remade and covered by tons of different artists already. But the versions of the songs of The Beatles in this movie are probably the best. The actors have made the songs contemporary and recent. My personal favorite is when Jim Sturgess sang “All My Loving”. The way they incorporated

the lyrics of the song to the script is awesome. I was laughing the whole time, imagine quarreling with your boyfriend then he suddenly bursts into a song. The scene was absolutely hilarious. I also loved the part when the homeless guy sang “Come Together”. For some reason, I couldn’t figure out who was singing because it definitely didn’t sound like Jim Sturgess. Two thumbs up for that old man, his rough voice really suited his character. And who knew that Evan ...

      • Rachel Wood could sing like that? I was really surprised to find out that she has really good singing voice. I cried at the scene where there was gunfire everywhere, while a little boy was singing “Let It Be”. I cried even more when he died and the church choir sang the rest of the song, it was such a tear-jerker. Lastly, I really loved the part when the guys sang “With A Little Help From My Friends”, they again managed to
turn the lyrics of the song into line of the characters and make a whole scene out of it.

By the way, the story line is great too. None of those mushy and sappy love stories, it was concrete and relevant. Though I only figured it out by the time the movie was over, I think that it was genius that the names of the characters in the movie are the same names in some of the songs of The Beatles – Jude, Lucy, and Prudence.
