  • So, I decided to just find something cheap so I went to the internet and found Melrose Home Valerie 18'' Square Throw Pillow for only $15 plus shipping
  • IT also had four tassels, one on each corner of the pillow, and I thought that was a nice touch
  • My problem with the pillows was that the strings on the tassels come out really easily
  • So, even though I paid $15 for each pillow, by the time I paid for shipping, paid to have them stuffed, and ultimately ended up with a cheap product, these were not worth it
  • I do not recommend these pillows, they are a waste of money and will just turn into a hassle

We had recently done some interior remodeling in our home, and we had purchased new living room furniture. We got a new sofa, and two chairs. Since the chairs were rather plain, I Was searching for a couple throw pillows to spruce them up a bit. I had checked all the local home furnishing stores with no luck. I couldn’t believe how expensive a throw pillow could be! So, I decided to just find something cheap so I went to the internet and found Melrose Home Valerie 18′’ Square Throw Pillow for only $15 plus shipping. Since that was a lot less expensive than anything I had seen, I purchased it right away. I also liked the pattern of the pillow, 4 diamonds with two

of them solid brown, and 2 with a pattern. IT also had four tassels, one on each corner of the pillow, and I thought that was a nice touch. I bought 2 pillows, one for each chair.

When the items arrived, I was very surprised to find that the pillows had no stuffing. I went back to the website and checked, and it did in fact say that the pillows come unfilled. Well, that would explain why they were so inexpensive. I decided to keep them anyway because I liked the look of them and they matched with my decor. Plus is wasn’t too expensive to get the filling, just more of a hassle than anything else. But, it way my own fault for not reading ...

      • carefully the first time. Once I had them filled, I thought they added a nice touch to the living room.

My problem with the pillows was that the strings on the tassels come out really easily. When kids come over they pull those little threads out and I end up finding them all over the house. Although the pillows are really for show only, somehow the kids always seem to get a hold of them and pull those little pieces of yarn out. One of the tassels is now completely gone. Now when kids come over, I need to put the pillows in a spot where they can’t reach them. So, to me these pillows seem cheaply made and not well sewn, even for the low price

I would expect the pillow to at least stay together.

So, even though I paid $15 for each pillow, by the time I paid for shipping, paid to have them stuffed, and ultimately ended up with a cheap product, these were not worth it. I am only keeping them until I can find something better. They match, and that’s about the only good thing I can say about them. I do not recommend these pillows, they are a waste of money and will just turn into a hassle. I would suggest spending a little more for something more high quality, and don’t be fooled by the low price or the picture on the internet…and read carefully, this product is really just a pillow shell, not a pillow.
