We have a cooler for every occasion. When we go camping, we like to have both large and small coolers, depending on what we are going to use them for. We always like to have a large cooler for drinks for the weekend. Last year we purchased the Rubbermaid 5-Day 50-Quart Wheeled Cooler and we have really been pleased with the purchase. First of all, we found it at Walmart for $40, which is a really good price for this type of cooler. The cooler can hold over 50 cans with 20 pounds of ice. It keeps our drinks cold longer than any other cooler we have ever had. When we took it camping, we still had ice in the cooler 2 days

later, even though it was warm outside. Most coolers we have had in the past only keep ice for a day, and by the next morning it’s mostly all water and needs to be drained and refilled.

Another thing we like about this cooler is that it’s on wheels, making it easy to move from place to place, even when it’s full. Many times when we are camping, we end up moving the cooler to someone else’s camp site if we are going to be sitting by their fire, and this one is easily portable. The lid on the cooler also has cup holders, which is nice if you are using the cooler as a table for your drinks. The lid has a feature where one side ...

      • can be open while the other is shut, so if someone else wants to get something out of the cooler while there are drinks in the cup holders, they don’t need to remove the drinks first, they can just open the other side and reach in. There are 2 cup holders on each side of the lid, for a total of 4. The split lid also works well if someone is sitting on the cooler, they don’t need to stand up every time someone wants to reach in for a drink.

The cooler also has a plug in the bottom for easy draining. This is a handy feature and beats having to tip the entire cooler upside down when you want to rain the water from it.

With this one, you just pop the plug out, drain, and then replace the plug. The plug is attached to the cooler, too, so it wont be so easy to accidentally lose it during or after the process of draining the cooler.

We have really enjoyed this cooler for camping. It’s perfect for weekend trips, and it’s just the right size for what we need. We have a larger cooler that we use for food, but we use this one mostly for drinks. I would highly recommend this cooler to anyone who is looking for a cooler that will keep your drinks cold all weekend, and it also convenient and easy to move around. AT $40 it’s a great value for what you get.
