      Perry Mason: The Case of the Reckless Romeo is notable because at the time of filming the main guest star, Tracy Nelson, was married to regular William R. Moses, who played Ken Malansky. They made a nice pair while they were married, and it was fun to see

      them together.

      Nelson plays a go-getter journalist who wants to interview Perry Mason (Raymond Burr). She’s a bit too aggressive, which doesn’t go over well with our favorite attorney.

      Geraldo Rivera is perfectly cast as the obnoxious talk show host, Ted Mayne, who promotes a tell-all book that reveals all about his many love affairs. He really didn’t have to act; he just played himself. Naturally, Mayne is the eventual murder victim with a long line of possible killers in the vicinity.

      the ‘are they guilty’ lineup. I loved seeing Pat Finley as the judge. I’m used to seeing her in comedic roles, but here she’s all business as she oversees the trial.

      One of my favorite bits was when Perry does a switcheroo with his client, Roxanne (Steel). It’s

      one of those ‘he gotcha!’ moments that Perry is noted for.

      I was pleased with this Perry Mason outing. It’s one I get a kick out of watching from time to time, especially with the adorable tiny side element of it being Della Street’s birthday. That part just warms my heart.

I have seen all of the Perry Mason movies that Raymond Burr did at the end of his career and life. They are good but not as effective as the old black and white TV series Burr starred in during the 60s.
