  • I was skeptical, but I decided to give it a try
  • I know everyone is different when it comes to jewelry preferences, but I found some of the Morbid Metals jewelry that looks nice and goes well with even business casual dress
  • After trying it though, 18 gauge is such a little difference from regular piercing size that I barely noticed the difference and can switch between 18 gauge and regular with no problems
  • I would definitely recommend Morbid Metals Body Jewelry

Quite a long time ago I got my ears pierced and after awhile I was having trouble finding earrings that would not irritate my ears or cause infections. When I was almost ready to give up and get rid of my piercings, someone suggested I try Morbid Metals Body Jewelry.

      This is

usually the jewelry sold at hot topic.

I was skeptical, but I decided to give it a try.

Within two days of wearing the jewelry my ears were no longer irritated, and five years later, still no irritation.

This jewelry is much better than I expected and worth the extra $5 or $10 it costs over the jewelry sold at stores like Clair’s.

I know everyone is different when it comes to jewelry preferences, but I found some of the Morbid Metals jewelry that looks nice and goes well with even business casual dress.

Don’t let the name fool you! I also find ...

      the jewelry to be comfortable.

At first I was concerned because the only size jewelry they offer that is the smallest is 18 gauge.

AT first I didn’t know what this meant but then I found out that regular piercings are about 20 gauge.

I was wondering if a jump of

2 gauge would make it so the holes could never close up or make my ears hurt.

After trying it though, 18 gauge is such a little difference from regular piercing size that I barely noticed the difference and can switch between 18 gauge and regular with no problems.

I would definitely recommend Morbid Metals Body Jewelry.

I just want to state that I had gotten my septum done and because it was done so low I wanted to find a smaller ring…I went to Hot Topic and there I found the cutest little rose gold ring and thought it was PERFECT My nose was healed it said surgical steel..nothing to worry about right? WRONG I’m aggravated that it said surgical steel when indeed it is not My nose got sore then very infected I was wondering what was happening until I took it out, there was gold chips coming off of the ring where it was a rose gold color and three days after replacing it with my Claire’s septum ring it was completely healed I don’t have jewelry allergies or anything like that , I can’t believe how easy it came off I was going to try the other one (the package came with two) after my nose healed thinking maybe it wouldn’t do that again…..but before I even put it in my nose when I popped the ball off, it chipped again I am just so shocked . Surgical steel isn’t supposed to chip or tarnish hot topic doesn’t return jewelry so now I’m stuck with worthless cheap jewelry Just wanted everyone to beware - I have also gotten belly rings ,several actually from Hot Topic and yes after a while they will tarnish just a little..but they don’t have gold chips flaking off everywhere

of course the brand was Morbid Metals , for my above statement

I bought a pack of 6 nose rings all in different colors-gold, black, silver, white, puruple, and blue. The brand was morbid metals which claims to be surgical steel. Everything was fine for a couple months, then I woke up one morning and my nose hurt. I looked in the mirror and had a small green circle around the piercing and when i took out the nose ring, the color was worn away in a small spot and it was tarnished. They might dip their products in surgical steel, but it is not surgical steel all the way through. I will never buy their products again

Broke down and bought nipple rings from hot topic both morbid , and over night my boob swelled . Got an infection and cause a great amount of pain. So after work today 2/6/18 I have removed it and went back to my cheapos the infection is severe . The pain is terrible and the swelling has yet to go down . Will NEVER buy morbid again . I beg everyone else Don t buy

I hate that I have to agree with everyone but I do. I bought some gorgeous Morbid Metals septum clickers last weekend. My piercing is healed and even in the healing stage never hurt as badly as it did 2 days after putting in the Morbid Metals clicker. I thought maybe I had just been rough when changing it but as the pain got worse and then the swelling I took it out today. Within 3 hours of replacing it the pain and swelling has decreased considerably. Too bad because the ring was gorgeous. Never again.

I just bought tongue rings, 14 gauge, been fine. A little tender as I hadn’t worn a ring in 10 years. Grabbed the rose gold one after everything was good, overnight my tongue was sore and now seems to be a little infected. Wish I had looked at these reviews first before purchasing. I will never buy these again. I’ll be buying rings from the piercing parlors. I’ve never had issues until now :(

I too fell for the stainless steel morbid metals, 0g tunnels with some fancy fake stones around the outside so kind of looks like a flower. Not more than $ 2 cheaper than what something similar at the piercing shop would be. By the 3rd day I could see a dark grayish spot on my ear above one of them. Figured I had some conditioner or apricot scrub that I missed rinsing while I sped thru my shower. Grabbed a Qtip and cleaned around them real quick, all seemed fine. Later that night the spot was back and as I looked closer I could see the lovely brass, I mean stainless steal shining thru. And while I know hot topic has the standard no returns of jewelry, as does every piercing shop everywhere, I m still going to go back in with them and pitch a fit. You can t advertise something or sell something saying it s X when in reality it clearly is not. And you have to know damn good and well they know about it not being true stainless. Just the handful of reviews I ve come across in the last 30 minutes or so tells me there s no way they haven t heard about this from lots of pissed off peole. And Morbid Metals doesn t have their own webpage? Yup they clearly know they are selling crap
