I was on vacation in Colorado and, as suggested by my friends, I decided to go on the Coors Brewery Tour in Golden, CO. Everyone who went, even those who don’t like beer, said that it was an awesome place to see and one of those “must do” tourist attractions. Also, the tour is free and you even get three free beers at the end of the tour if you’re 21 or older.

Parking was plentiful and easy and they offer a free shuttle that takes you a

little bit into the town of Golden and then to the brewery itself. They tell you about the town and how the brewery came to be founded.

It was actually interesting. Then it drops you off at the brewery and you walk inside where you can get a wristband if you’re 21 or older in order to get the three free beers and everyone can get an audio device that allows you to go on a self guided tour.

The self guided tour was great. You ...

      • could listen to the audio if you were interested in something by just pressing a button, or ignore it if you just wanted to walk around and take a look for yourself.

The brewery itself is huge (spread over 1500 acres) but the tour itself requires just a little walking and a few elevator rides. The tour route is well maintained and offers great views of the brewing process.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. At the end of the tour is where you can receive the

three free beers (or soda if you’re under 21!).

It’s basically a bar which is well laid out to accommodate the loads of people who come through. It’s extremely clean and a great place to hang out.

I absolutely loved the Coors Brewery tour. It’s great for families, kids, adults, anyone! It’s simply amazing to see such a huge factory in motion.

I would strongly recommend the Coors Brewery Tour if you’re looking for something to do around the Denver area. It’s only about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Denver.
