  • So basic that you can also find them for free from Photoshop websites and blogs, and are so targeted at beginners and newbies that I think that they are also taught in Classroom In A Book series, like Saving Your Color Settings and Saving Your Preference, Moving The Panels, Personalizing Your View Of The Bridge

Each chapter is divided into tips according to the same subjects. For example, the first chapter is devoted to tips about the user interface of the program, then proceeds with tips devoted to various Photoshop skills like Layers,Image Editing, Retouching and Enhancing Color Tones. The first few lessons are beginner-based, so they are quite easy and in fact, they can also be found for free on Photoshop websites and other books. But as the book progresses, the tips are starting to get advanced and a little harder, and concern with using third-party tools like cameras and Adobe Bridge.

      As mentioned, some of the

tips here are in fact, quite basic. So basic that you can also find them for free from Photoshop websites and blogs, and are so targeted at beginners and newbies that I think that they are also taught in Classroom In A Book series, like Saving Your Color Settings and Saving Your Preference, Moving The Panels, Personalizing Your View Of The Bridge. There are advanced tips here, too, like Calibrating And Profile Your Monitor For Better Editing, and Turning On The Full Power Of Photoshop With A Pen Tablet and Using The Auto Blend Tool To Create Greater Depth Of Field.

      But each ...

      • lesson has a footnote called Tips, which is a box with unknown to little-known tips to make tasks easier. Usually these are keyboard shortcuts which PC and MAC users can use to shorten the time it takes to do the same tasks. However, there are also tips here which are not usually discussed in beginner books like Adding A Keyboard Shortcut To Your Favorite Filter, Creating A Custom Action and Designing A Customized Brush. These are, I think, intermediate lessons which anybody can easily understand. The good thing about each tip is that, for every task, they are accompanied with screenshots of how it
is done, and each step is detailed on which command to use and which keyboard shortcut to type. I did not get to use some of the tips here because they relate to photography, but I think most of them are practical and deal with tasks which almost every Photoshop user will encounter, so it is like a troubleshooting guide with the basics on how to repair quickly what you might think as a minor problem.

I think that the book is also wonderfully and colorfully illustrated, with colors and lively fonts., instead of the same old white page and black fonts which bore the readers.
