I got this recipe from while searching for recipes for crepes. I really like eating crepes orginally with mango crepe. Shangri-La has the best crepe and so with French Baker Restaurant. This has cream cheese and chocolate sauce. Below is the recipe and my opinion on it.

      * 2 cups of strawberries, sliced * 1 cup water * 1¼ cups of sugar, divided * 1 tbsp of lemon juice * 1 8 oz. block of

cream cheese, softened * 3 tbsp of sour cream * 1 tsp of vanilla * 4 dessert crepes * Chocolate sauce

Mix ¾ cup of the sugar, water and lemon juice together until sugar dissolves. Pour over sliced berries and refrigerate for at least four hours. Stir at least twice to distribute juices. Note: For this step, you may substitute frozen, sweetened strawberries that have been thawed.

Using electric mixer, combine ½ cup sugar with the cream cheese, sour cream ...

      • and vanilla. Fold in strawberries. For one serving, spread ¾ cup of the strawberry cream cheese dessert mixture on one crepe and roll up. Repeat procedure for remaining three crepes. Drizzle each crepe with chocolate sauce and top with a dollop of whipped cream.

It is important to use sweet strawberry preserves rather than fresh ones. Fresh strawberries tend to taste sour. To offset the taste of cream cheese which is already sour, we need to use sweet preserves. If you cannot find sweet preserves strawberries, soak the strawberries in a concentrate made up of 1

litre of purified water and dissolve 1 cup of sugar in medium heat. Store in the fridge to cool down. Refrigerate overnight. This will help your homemade sweet strawberry preserves. For cream cheese, you can also substitute quick melt cheese. It would be more delicious and tasty to have it. However, if you can find cream cheese, the better. It would be more different in terms of taste and quality if you use cream cheese.

For your embellishment, you can use Hershey’s liquid chocolate and sprinkle the plate with confectioners before you arrange the crepe. Serve with fresh strawberries on top. Add whip cream.
