  • This wasn’t an issue with anything, or so I thought
  • The washer and dryer combo set, the LG Washer and Dryer Model # WM3431HW , is what I thought would be a standard, small space appliance
  • It is just a really inconvenient experience
  • While I realize that saving space if of the utmost importance, and washer and dryer combinations are a must, I would never recommend the LG Washer and Dryer Model # WM3431HW

I recently moved into a furnished condominium, which meant that I had no say in any of the furniture or appliances. This wasn’t an issue with anything, or so I thought. Everything was brand new and high-end, so I was pretty happy. However, after doing laundry for the first time, I realized how much I appreciated my regular-sized, if very old and ugly, washer and dryer, and doing laundry has become not just a chore, but the bane of my existence.

The washer and dryer combo set, the LG Washer and Dryer Model # WM3431HW , is what I thought would be a standard, small space appliance. Sure, it is small, and it was brand new, but

oh my God. No one, I don’t care even if you are just one person who rarely does laundry or who is incredibly clean or dirty, however you want to look at this, could possibly function doing such small loads. I thought small loads would be perhaps one set of sheets, or one set of bath, kitchen and hand towels, or clothes loads that had relatively few jeans or sweaters in them. But, even though I kept the loads as small as humanely possible, they literally took about 4 hours to dry! I am not exaggerating at all; I became so frustrated that I have begun to hang much of my laundry, including towels and sheets,

      • around my condo, hanging from chairs, tables, anything I can find with a clean surface. To make it worse, the options are confusing. Although I was initially excited to see that there were cycles such as hand wash, heavy soil, cotton, towels, normal and sanitary, I soon discovered that only the speed wash cycle would be appropriate if I wanted to have a life whatsoever outside of doing laundry. Everything else just takes far too long. Also, while I realize how space is of such a priority, having to pull things out before drying, if you have delicates, brings new meaning to pain and burn. Even putting in a dryer sheet means you cannot program the
washing and drying cycles at the start, which means you cannot just put it on before work or bed and let it do its thing. The other infuriating thing is that you cannot possibly add enough time at the beginning of the process to have everything dry, so again, you cannot put it on before leaving for the day. It is just a really inconvenient experience.

While I realize that saving space if of the utmost importance, and washer and dryer combinations are a must, I would never recommend the LG Washer and Dryer Model # WM3431HW. Possibly, if you could pre-program more drying time, it might be better, but my experience with this appliance has not been positive.
