  • I occasionally find a great product from the drugstore brands, but it is usually by accident-either I run out of something and need a fill-in item until I can get to my favourite salon or hair products store, or I am using a friend’s product
  • She also told me that it had natural ingredients, which I found hard to believe, but I gave it a try
  • I also noticed as I was blow-drying that my hair was smoothing out nicely with no frizz, and there was no crunchiness at all
  • As usual, I did not blow dry it until it was completely dry, leaving it slightly damp, and yes, I will agree with my friend that this is a very natural, light mousse, and there was no crunchiness
  • I would recommend TRESemme Naturals Lightweight Mousse for anyone who wants a light mousse, and wants to spend only a very small amount

I admit to being a hair product snob, because most of my hair care wardrobe consists of salon brands. I occasionally find a great product from the drugstore brands, but it is usually by accident-either I run out of something and need a fill-in item until I can get to my favourite salon or hair products store, or I am using a friend’s product. I also do not purchase a lot of styling products, because I tend to only use them on occasions when I am going out, rather than every day use, so what I do have, lasts a long time. The other day, I was preparing for a girls’ night out at a friend’s house, and she told

me that I should try her styling mousse before I styled my hair. She said she really liked it, and assured me that it did not make hair stiff and unnatural, even crunchy, which I find with so many mousses. I looked under the sink and saw TRESemme Naturals Lightweight Mousse-I was surprised, because my friend does not go for non-salon brands either, but she said it was really great. She also told me that it had natural ingredients, which I found hard to believe, but I gave it a try.

I put a small amount of the mousse into my hand (I was still scared of the crunch), and applied it to my hair. I will say that the texture ...

      • of the mousse itself feels a bit lighter, and it did absorb easily into my damp hair. My style on this occasion was going to be volume and fullness, so I blow dried my hair as I normally do, with a large round brush. When I use mousse before blow-drying, I usually have to use a diffuser to create waves, and I usually do not use mousse for a straight-hair look so I was curious as to what this would look like. I also noticed as I was blow-drying that my hair was smoothing out nicely with no frizz, and there was no crunchiness at all. As usual, I did not blow dry it until it was completely dry, leaving
it slightly damp, and yes, I will agree with my friend that this is a very natural, light mousse, and there was no crunchiness. I could run my fingers through it with no problem. It did create some volume, although I generally get volume when I blow dry my hair. But there was also no frizz at all, and when it was completely dry, I got the swingy, full look I was after. Pretty decent for a drugstore brand-and the price, at $5, is a real bonus.

I would recommend TRESemme Naturals Lightweight Mousse for anyone who wants a light mousse, and wants to spend only a very small amount. Even for hair product snobs like me, this is a very good product.
